Introducing the Wii

Chuck, Shelia, Sarah, and Jameson came over for dinner a few weeks ago and we introduced them to the Wii! It was so cute cause Shelia decided to give it a try. Here she is bowling. Notice Jack with his Wii controler...he thinks he is playing!
Sarah gave it a try too! She was mad at me for taking this but I thought it was cute!

This City Girl has Come a Long Way!

Since we moved to Paris we have always gone to watch our kids at the fair sell their hogs and cows. I know to my city family that sounds crazy, but it is really neat! It is such a great way to teach the kids responsibility and most of them put the money they make aside in college funds! It is really neat! Here are a few pictures from the night. Jack and KK
Here is Kelli selling her hog! She did a great job this year!
Blake and his prize winning hog.
Precious! Here is Blake and Jack playing on one of the tractors.
Jack was helping Mr. Jim pick out his hog to buy! They are best buds!

A visit with Good Friends

We got to visit with some of our best friends in the world last week! Wayne and Shana Kaye work with a congregation in Texas. We only get to see each other a few times a year. We hadn't even met baby Karsyn until last week and she is 5 months old! It was an amazing day! Jack loved playing the Wii with the kids!

Vacation at the Lake

My mom, dad, grandpa, aunt, uncle, and three cousins all vacationed at Kentucky Lake this year! It was so much fun just hanging out and spending some time together. Jack LOVES camping! Anything that involves being outside all day count him in! It was a great few days! (This was the week after VBS) Checking out their catches.
My dad caught this gigantic catfish! It was so exciting, and Jack loved the "Fish"!
Nana and Jack
Dad and I were trying to wake Jack up, but he was wiped out!
Driving the boat...on land of course!
mmmmm...chocolate for breakfast. Only with Nana around.
Papa and Jack...still in his PJs
Jack and Daddy were making a river with the hose.
Jack's first push-up pop...he was crazy about it and had to have another!

VBS - July

Here are some pics from our VBS. For those of you that know us, you know that our congregation is small. It is hard to do a VBS event when you have limited youth, but everyone did a GREAT job! We had 31, adults included, but this was better than last year. God doesn't say to just minister to large numbers, in fact Jesus did most of his ministry one on one. So, we are thankful to have the number of kids we do have!

Jack and Jameson....these two are attached at the hip :)

The preschool class with Noah's ark.

Crazy Teens!

He was so excited about his hat and name tag :)

Usborne Convention in Tulsa, OK!

I had so much fun in Tulsa! My mom and dad kept Jack for a few days while I went to the convention. I LOVE Usborne Books and can't wait to walk across the stage as a supervisor next year! I set me promotion date as Dec. 1st! I'm looking for new members to join my team...anyone interested? :)

This is me the night of the big awards ceremony. I am standing next to Randall White, president of the company.

This is me with my recruit and now friend, Rachell.

Okay, so those of you that know my Usborne story know that I had never met my supervisor until I attended convention. She is great and very rich!

We married her off...presenting Mr. and Mrs. Kitchens!

Okay so July 11th was a day full of mixed emotions for us! Chris was honored to perform the wedding ceremony for one of our girls at church, Tracie Stewart. We moved to paris when she was 11 or 12 I believe. We have been blessed in many ways over the last 6 1/2 years, but being a part of our young people's lives is the greatest of our blessings! Tracie is an amazing young woman and we have watched her grow in so many ways over the last several years. We have confidence that she will continue to grow personally as a Christian while also helping those around her get to heaven! She has a hunger for the word of God and is full of questions! She has always wanted to do what was right and she has stood when many weren't standing with her. We are so proud that she and Jeremy found each other! They will do great things for the Lord where ever life leads them....but they will be greatly missed here in good old Paris!

Enough mushy stuff, the ceremony was beautiful, the bride was beautiful, and the food was GREAT! The beautiful couple...I was lucky enough to get to do her hair! She was BEAUTIFUL!
Our awesome Whitlock girls!
jack LOVED the chocolate covered strawberries!
When they left everyone threw wheat at them....well it was slick and this is what happened!

Rehearsal

We are so proud of her!

Another one of our awesome young people, Kelli. Or as Jack would say, KK.

Precious!

This was so them...they rode to the reception in a CASE tractor of course! So cute!

We haven't disappeared...promise!

Okay so July was CRAZY for us!!! No time to do anything let alone update our blog...so please be patient as I take the next few days to play catch up (chill out Chad j/k)!

We been busy so enjoy the photos from JULY!
