Fun in the Sun with Playgroup!

We are lucky to have playgroup friends with a pool. Caroline and her mom Katie were nice enough to let all of us go swimming this morning in their pool! Jack had a blast! His attention didn't allow us to stay in the water for longer than 20 min. intervals. He also didn't much care for the floatie that confined him...imagine that! It was a fun morning that led to an even better afternoon...a 3 hour nap!

Jack in his waverunner floatie Nana got him! Caroline preferred Jack's floatie outside the pool. :)
Jack borrowed Caroline's arm floaties. They didn't quite match his outfit, but I had to get a picture for his daddy!
This is Big Jack, he really didn't like the water! Here he is yelling Mommy! he wanted to go in. He is soooo cute! I wish you could see his curls better in this picture!
Snack time! Caroline, Big Jack and Little Jack chill for a few minutes while enjoying some refreshments!

Loaded up in the car ready for a McDonald's run! What a good morning!!

Mary Kate turns 1 !!!!

How quickly time passes by! My good friend Katherine's little girl, Mary Kate, turned one! She had a precious birthday party decorated in bright colors and ice cream cones! She is the best natured baby! Jack had a blast! (We did too!) Precious cake that Shelia, Mary Kate's grandma, made!
Can't resist a good cupcake!
FRIENDS! I love these girls!
Mary Kate and her beautiful Aunt Sarah!

Jack was really digging this pink and purple bike! Ha!

Another Butler graduates from preaching school!

We are sooooooo proud of Chris' brother Dwayne! He graduated from the Memphis school of preaching after two intensive years of studying! He is going to do much good for the kingdom! We are VERY proud! Now all we need to do is find him a wife... Getting his diploma.
This was too precious not to put on here!
The two preaching brothers...aren't they handsome!
Dwayne with his two grandmas!
He worked hard for that!!

Sardis Lake Christian Camp

Well, we once again traveled down to Sardis Lake Christian Camp. This was my 12th year going (3 of those were as a camper). This is actually where Chris and I first got to know eachother. You might say we began to fall in love here. It was an AMAZING week!! The weather was perfect! Most of the time by the end of the week I'm dying to go home because of the humidity and heat, but not this time! For those of you that don't know, there is no AC at camp. They did add some to the mess hall which made dining a bit more comfortable. Jack stayed four nights at his Grandma's and Grandpa's house. They thoroughly enjoyed that! I missed seeing him, but looking back I think it was a good thing for both of us to have a break! Spiritually speaking the week was a breath of fresh air! We spend much of the day in bible class and worshiping God. It is amazing how good if can feel to refocus yourself on what is truly important in this life...living for Christ. The kids at camp get a lot out of it, but what they don't know if they are encouraging the adults too! I am so thankful for camp and the lives it continues to touch...including mine!! Say Cheetos!

This is one of my best friends in this world! Jill and I have been friends since the 3rd grade! We go to camp every year together as team counselors. She is an amazing Christian friend!
This is a pic of the Whitlock group! They are AWESOME kids!!!
Jack loved playing in the sand volleyball court!
Here is Jack and his buddy Kaiden trying to help withe the waterballoon toss. They are only 12 days apart!
Jack thinks he is big stuff on Chris' shoulders
I love this pic! This is right after Jack woke up from his nap...doesn't he look like me in the mornings! :)
Whoever's shoes these were got a surprise when they went to put them on.

Catching up!

My good friend Becky Cate joined Mindy and me for playgroup yesterday. We all three taught 5th grade together for two years, so it is a lot of fun when we can get together for some catching up! Becky's two girls, Addi and Ansley, helped watch the boys. They played and played! Jack fell asleep in the car before we got out of Murray! It was a good day!
You should have seen us tring to get them all to look at the camera at the same time! So funny!

A Visit with Good Friends!

Monday we were excited to get a call from David and Kathy Jones, long time friends of ours! We met them for lunch in Dresden. Jack of course provided the entertainment! There was a little girl around his age there and she was chasing him around trying to hug him. Jack was very unsure about her aggression and he ran from her. It was sooooo funny!! Here is Jack smilen big with Mrs. Kathy.
Jack loves to wear my glasses...he was going up to people's tables with these glasses on!

Jack is obessessed with cars and driving. Here he is in their Nitro trying to start it up. They let him push every button his heart desired...it drove me crazy!

Tracie's Wedding Shower

These girls were so young when we moved here! I am very lucky to be a part of their lives!

One of our girl's from church is getting married in July. I was in charge of giving her the church shower. Shelia also helped out and let us use her home! It is so hard to believe that we have been working with the Whitlock congregation for so long that one of our young people is getting married! She is an amazing Christian young woman and she is marrying an awesome Christian man. We really believe they are going to do great things for the Lord as they work together as a team!!

A visit with Auntie Jill

Well, we went to Clarksville Thursday to visit Jill. She is one of my best friends and has been since the 3rd grade. Her husband, Joe, is in the military and currently going through the PA program at Fort Campbell. So, Jill and I are finally back together again after being apart for 9 years! It is so fun to be able to visit eachother when we have the free time. Here are a few pics from our visit. This is kinda a scary pic of Jack, but notice the chocolate all over his face. I just had to take this one as we were shopping in Old Navy. Jack loved our trip because he got to eat as many chocolate Teddy Grahams as he wanted...it kept him happy.
After a long day of shopping, Jack decided to chill in Auntie Jill's cool red chair.
Here she is cooking it up in the kitchen...she is going to kill me for putting this on here. I thought it was a cute picture!

Jack and Jim

Jack even got to pretend like he was driving!

We put a garden out at Mr. Jim and Ms. Lora's house. So, from time to time we go out to check on the garden. Here is a pic of Jack after church Wednesday night. Mr. Jim rode up on the 4-wheeler and Jack had to get in on the action! He loves to ride anything and everything! Mr. Jim didn't mind...he would do anything Jack wanted to do. Jack has been his buddy since the day he was born.

Look how much fun $20 can buy!

Here is Jack's new summer fun! We got him this cool pool and he LOVES it! He runs around and splashes. We sometimes swim before and after naps....this leads to good sleep at night!

This is a picture of Jack skinny dipping...we poopooed in our Little Swimmer's diaper so after changing him he RAN into the pool laughing the whole time! It was sooooo cute! I just hope he doesn't make it a habit as he gets older :)

A day in Jackson, TN

Chris and I celebrated our 6 year wedding anniversary by eating at Asahi, a Japanese steakhouse. That was our first date 9 years ago in St. Louis!!! So, while we ate, Aunt SheShe and Uncle Chad got to take Jack out to eat and do a little shopping! It was fun for both of us! Jack LOVES them! Ashley said that he kept asking "Where's Mama?" They were so shocked at how many words he can now say! He doesn't stop talking most days...wonder where he gets that? Here they are at Kohl's pretending that is their patio...thought the sale sign was funny!
Jack had to have a "juice" break in Target.
That is actually milk, but everything is "juice" to him.
