Let the showers begin!

Uncle D and Aunt Beth are getting married in almost a month...they had their shower with the Whitlock congregation this weekend! It was a lot of fun, and they got some awesome stuff! I asked Beth if she would let me borrow it...not sure if that is going to work :)
Chris' parents and Beth and Dwayne

A group shot of the kids... LOVE these people!!!

Beth was very surprised when she opened her second Pyrex portable from us...I HATE buying a duplicate gift! Oh well!

Jack enjoying a Sprite...I love that little stinker smile!
This was the highlight of Jack's entire weekend! He got to drive the tractor with Jameson and the famous Mr. Jim! He is bound to be a country boy!

Fish Fry Parade

So, for those of you that don't live in Paris, TN...you need to know that Fish Fry is a BIG deal! I however only attended the parade...as I look at all of our playgroup friends' blogs, I'm realizing I'm a terrible mom because I did not take Jack to the carnival...in fact I decided to pretend it doesn't exists until Jack wants to go. I'm thinking we will be there next year :) Okay, now back to the parade...yes, I was feeling a little redneck and I parked Chris' truck at midnight to reserves some front row seats for the parade! It ended up being a blast! Campbell, Jack and Mary Kate waiting for the parade...What would a parade be without a little silly string!
Love this one! the kids were VERY excited at this point!

Jameson and Jack...need I say more!

BFF...Jack so misses Jameson since we've been at East Wood!

Devotional at the Hutson's

We are making so many good friends at East Wood! We are so thankful to have so many families willing to host events for our young people! Last weekend we made it out to the Hutson's beautiful home in Big Sandy. The kids played, we ate, and enjoyed worshipping together. It was a fun afternoon....i failed to post any pics of me attempting to play soccer with the kids...it was a lot a fun and they were surprised that a fat girl could score some goals! :)
Jack and his buddies!

Kayla turned 16 and Madison picked out this beautiful pink and purple cake! Yay!

Cheap entertainment!

Last Friday night we decided to just hang out as a family...so we drove down to the lake for a picnic. Jack played on the awesome playground and searched for ducks to feed. We couldn't find any ducks that like people so we settled for looking at the "fishing boats" as Jack calls them. He LOVED watching the fishermen on the bank.

I love how everything is so new and exciting at this age! He LOVED the Dandelions! He practiced blowing them over and over...

It is so amazing the beauty of the lake and the fact that it is only 15 minutes from our house...we plan to spend a lot more time there. It is our own little mini-vacation!

Easter Day!

Easter morning Jack had to wait a while to see his "treats" cause Mommy couldn't find the camera! It was not an easy job to keep him out of the living room. The Easter Bunny stopped here.He loved his lantern.

Huntin eggs the Easter bunny hid with Daddy!
Found one!

We had Easter lunch at the Hancock's! They are so good to us!
The kiddos! Too cute!

Yum! Yum!
Pow, Pow, Power Wheels!
Say cheese Campbell!

Making memories while making a mess!

Like the good old days of my childhood, we began our tradition of coloring Easter eggs the night before Easter. Jack LOVED it!!! It took some scrubbing in the tub, but all the dye came off!!! I was a little worried he was going to have a green body for a week! For those of you that don't know...SheShe is the BEST!
Here was Jack's work space....colorful!

Say cheese! This was so much fun!

Jack was proud of his eggs...he really did a good job!

Bring on the Eggs!

Isn't this the coolest play area! This is in the Durham's backyard...the kids played for a long time here after the egg hunt!
Yay! Sheshe and Uncle Chad came for Easter weekend! Jack LOVES them both!

This is my big boy now!
Chris and Jameson
This is what Jack did during the hunt...he would pick up an egg, take out the candy, and throw it back on the ground! Too funny!

They looked pretty pumped about this don't they!

A group photo of the egg hunters! That is one fun group of kids!

Spring Banquet in Memphis

Every year we try to provide an activity for those of our young people that choose not to attend their proms. It is a way of encouraging them to make better choices so they don't have to battle the temptations of the prom and the activities associated with it. This year we headed to Graceland, ate at the Pier but the river, and finished the nights with carriage rides. Chris and I have the best job ever! We get to be around young people all the time and help them live Godly lives....what job could be better!?Here is a group shot.
Kelli and Cara on the carriage ride.

chris and I....we were FREEZING!

That is one fun group right there !

Haley and Josh...precious! I wish you could see her precious pink heels!

Easter's on its way!

Monday at story hour Jack got to see the Easter bunny! I thought he would be scared like he was of Santa, but he wasn't! He just kept smiling and pointing and saying, "Look Mommy, the Easter bunny!" It was so sweet!
He is such a big boy these days!

This was taken during story time...he still doesn't want to sit in the circle...oh well!

Mary Kate and Jack

We got to spend a few hours with Mary Kate the other day. They slept most of the time, but when Jack woke-up and saw her he was jumping on his bed dying to get to her! It was so precious!
They were having an in-depth conversation about something outside...they were cracking me up! Looks like Jack was cracking Mary Kate up too!

So precious! Look at that sweet haircut!
