Is that my Jack?

This video is mainly for the grandparents...they will enjoy it the most. As I posted in an earlier post, Jack doesn't normally actually participate in Kindermusik til we get to the car. Here he was actually playing his sticks and having a good time...you will see his precious friend Caroline make her debut also towards the end. She usually tried to get Jack to participate with her....today is the first day it worked!

Picnic, Park, and Playgroup Pals

Back into the swing of things....Monday's are reserved for playgroup pals! After Labor Day we will meet at the Preschool hour and then head to McDonald's for some fun! Since preschool hour isn't meeting yet, we enjoyed the day at the park! It was absolutely gorgeous! Here are a few pics of the kids enjoying watermelon from OUR GARDEN!!! This shirt will never be the same :(
Bennett throwing down on some watermelon!

My Jack was observing Big Jack eat his watermelon...there wasn't anything but rind left when he was finished! TOO FUNNY! So I tried something new...FIGS! They were pretty good....I was a little scared at first due to the texture the appeared to have. However, with much persuading from my friends Jennifer and Katie, I was pleasantly surprised that they tasted very similar to a peach.
This is one cool kid that I LOVE to hang out with!

Let's go Patriots!

Henry County football is a big deal around these parts! We headed to the first football game last Friday night! It was a great game, and it felt good to be a part of such a small town activity!! This is the fancy new scoreboard Pepsi purchased...it is animated and everything!! We are so blessed to have Uncle D and Aunt Beth close by...we enjoyed the game a little more with them by our side!

I've learned a lot since I've been here...

So we went to the County Fair last week to watch some of the kids from church show their hogs...now for some of you this might sound strange, but for me it was kinda nice to have grown accustomed to such a hometown event! When I came to Henry county I had a lot to learn...still do...but appreciating young people show and sell livestock that they've cared for the last year, well I'd almost say I wouldn't miss it for anything! Here is the one and the only, KK, showing her 1st place hog!!! VERY exciting!
This is one of my diva's, Kayla, showing her hog...the black ones were so cute! I didn't get to take pics of all the kids due to the fact I was chasing Jack :)

Two peas in a pod! Jack and Jameson reunited at the fairgrounds...they really miss eachother since we've been working with East Wood, but he is only a phone call away.

Did someone say....KINDERMUSIK!

So, summer is over and lots of our regular activities are beginning! One of Jack's favorite things to do is Kindermusik...now we are funded by the Nana and Papa fund so that allows us to be able to take such an amazing class each week! However, if you ever watched Jack in class you would think it was torture...he doesn't want to participate and he is stuck to me like glue, but when we get into the car he insist we listen to the kindermusik CD and he sings EVERY word! He definitely got that side of his personality from his daddy...I strive everyday to accept that and not try to make him act the way I think he should act. It is interesting sometimes the way we compare our children to other children...I pray for guidance in that area. I don't want to push where he doesn't need pushing.
He was super excited to get his bag of goodies! This was also one of the high lights in class....getting to hold Caroline's hand. I'm not kidding! You should have seen both their faces...TOO CUTE! This was the third class...this is the MOST Jack has ever participated!
I was so proud and so is he!
Love this precious face...I'm so lucky to have experiences like this with my child!

Pew Packers

On Sunday nights before the worship service Chris teaches the pew packers class. He is doing an awesome job just working on their basic Bible knowledge! Grounding them in the word is God is our biggest goal while working them!
Jack and Madison are two peas in a pod! I thought this was too cute of them both!

Homecoming in Mississippi

A few weekends ago we went to Corinth, MS to see my sister and Chad. My parent's were able to come down, and my grandpa Hendrix was there too! It was a GREAT weekend, but the best part was Sunday morning! We enjoyed worshiping at the congregation my great, great grandparents went to years ago. It was a neat experience to sit in the same place and worship together as a family. There were four generations that day! My grandmother's grave is also located there so we were able to remember her on that day too.Jack was so tired and not up for pictures! We didn't even get a pic of Papa and Nana. :(
Jack and his great papa

Charlie turns 50!!

We've come to love may people at East Wood, and Jack LOVES his Mr. Charlie! He keeps Jack supplied with chocolate...lots of chocolate!!

Evidently, when you turn 50 the cake has to be black...that can be a little rough around the mouth! Jack's mouth wasn't the same for a few days! :)

Jack's first movie!!

I'm catching up on several weeks worth the posts! Here is Jack at the movie G-Force! It was in 3D, so now Jack will think that all movies have to be watched while wearing glasses!!!
Kid's pack complete with popcorn, drink, and most importantly M&M's!
