The day after Thanksgiving we all made a trip to Old St. Charles. If you've never been there is is definately worth seeing! It is the original settlement by the river...many famous Americans traveled and stayed there, including Lewis and Clark, Daniel Boone, and others. It has the original houses and cobblestone streets. It is filled with cute little shops. We visited on their first day of Christmas festivities. They had characters walking up and down the streets. We saw, santa, the sugar plum fairy, scrooge, tiny Tim, and a few others. It was really a neat experience and it was FREE!
